By coming on over to Tdot and getting your Halloween pictures scrapped at our November 12th crop at the Tdot…or pull out your holiday paper and join us to make your holiday cards early. We are back to having fun every second Friday of the month. Crops are still just $5 and 100% of that goes to the Tuscaloosa Public Library. Come on over and get inspired by the talented scrapbook designers we have at our Scrapbook Tuscaloosa crops.

Once again it’s time to pack up your favorite croppin’ tools and your pictures and come “crop all night long”!! Well, till midnight anyway…………… to some of us, they are the same thing! :)

I’m really looking forward to this one, of course, I always look forward to getting together with people who love what I love. I look forward to the sharing and the laughing and the understanding that comes from being with people who GET what your passion for this hobby is all about.

Sooooooooo, if you want to be with people who GET you and your hobby, come join us this Friday night. We have lots of scrappy toys and we share well with others!!!

As usual, we’ll be cropping at the TDOT and I’ll be there at 5! No need to let anyone know you’re coming, you can just come on and plan to have fun! Although, if you want to let someone know you’re coming, just leave a comment here and I’ll get back to you.

March Crop!

If you didn’t get to attend our big All Day Crop last Saturday, you really missed out!! We laughed, ate, shared and scrapbooked to our heart’s content!! The good news is, if you didn’t get enough croppin’ time in or didn’t get to be there at all, here’s your chance! Our regular monthly crop is coming up this Friday night, March 12th, and we’ll be doing it all over again only from 5 till midnight! I’ll be there at 5 pm and we’ll crop till midnight! Please come join us if you can!!

It’s gonna be a great day with great weather so grab a friend and come join us at the the Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation! No need to reserve a spot, there’s plenty of room for everyone!!

Special treat!

How does the the idea of 12 hours of non stop cropping sound to you? I don’t know about you, but I love to spend an entire Saturday just scrapping away. So, that’s what we are planning for next Saturday, March 6. We will do it at the regular spot (Tuscaloosa Dept. of Transportaion) and all the regular rules apply ($5 each person, no kids under the age of 12). The ONLY difference is that we will be cropping during the day instead of at night !

I will have the usual room at the TDOT set up and open at 10 am and we can crop till 10 pm that night. You may bring whatever you need to get your creative groove on, just be sure to bring extension cords if you’re bringing anything electric. If you have items that you want to get rid of (whether it’s by selling or giving away) bring it on! Most of us are always on the hunt for a bargain! Also, if you want to bring snacks to share with the group, feel free, but don’t feel obliged. There’s lots of food choices in the area and none of us ever go hungry. :D

And just like our usual Friday night crops, you don’t have to arrive at 10 am or stay till 10 pm. Arrive when you want and leave when you have to, that’s it!

There you have it! The plan for the perfect Saturday! Scrapping with friends till bedtime. Post any questions or comments you have and I’ll get right back to you.

February crop is cancelled

Sorry to say that we have had to make the decision to cancel the crop at the TDOT tonight. The snow is lovely to look at, but not very nice to drive in. We don’t expect the snow to still be coming down late tonight, but typically the moisture will refreeze on the roadways and bridges and nobody wants to be out in that.

So, make yourself a nice cup of hot chocolate, put on your snuggliest (yeah I know, not a real word) socks and watch the Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies while you work on the pages you had planned to work on at the crop!!

We will see you in March!!!

February Crop!

Well, everything is a go for our monthly crop Friday night! Have you got a bag packed? I don’t know about the rest of you, but I can hardly wait!! First, I wasn’t able to attend the January crop, then the big crop weekend I was planning to attend was cancelled because of snow and ice that weekend! Oh brother, do I need a night of creativity with the gals!!! I’ve got some 12 x 12 page kits put together, a 6 x 6 album I’m working on and will even most likely be slapping together a few Valentines for my sweet guys. I think that should get me to midnight! :D

So grab a girlfriend and come have a fun night out! It’s only $5 each that will be donated to the Tuscaloosa Public Library. Bring all the supplies that you think you’ll need in order to get crafty, there’s plenty of room!!

I’ll be there at 5, see ya then!

Ok ladies…

Time to pack up your pictures and your scrapbook tote and head on over to the Tuscaloosa Dept. of Transportation for an evening of fun, laughing and scrappin’ ! We had such a good time last month (as usual) and I can’t wait to see everyone again and scrapbook all night long… well till midnight anyway : ) I’m issuing a challenge to all you regulars to bring a new friend with you this month. I’d love to double our normal attendance, ok?

I found a few minutes to go through my stack of scrapbooking magazines last weekend and found several that I decided to get rid of. I plan to bring them to the crop on Friday and they are free for the taking. They are all a couple of years old, but still have valuable info in them.

Don’t forget, all we ask is a $5 donation made payable to the Tuscaloosa Public Library. I’ll be there around 5 pm with bells on (well, not really) I’m always a happy girl when I know I’m gonna get to spend an evening with friends (old and new) who love to do what I love to do!!

Eat dinner at home before you leave, bring dinner with you or order out later, it’s all up to you! There are also snack and drink machines on the premises!

October is here!!!

And you know what that means……….. the October crop is just around the corner, in fact it’s this Friday night, Oct. 9th !!! As usual, I’ll be there by 5 and the earlier you get there, the more you’ll get done!

And since we’re talking about crops, I have to tell you how much fun we had at the Crop 2 Help that I posted about in August. We laughed, we ate, we shared, we scrapped, we shopped and everyone won prizes!!! Here’s super creative Irasema with the lovely Big Bite Crop a Dile that she won!!! She was pretty happy, I can tell you that!

I really hope to see lots of new faces and of course all of our wonderful regulars Friday night at the TDOT!

Another crop is upon us!!

It’s finally that time again!!! This Friday night, the 11th, is our monthly crop and I’m so looking forward to it. I have so very much to catch up on and I don’t know about you, but I seem to get so much more done when I’m away from home!

I know there are lots of ”first day of school” shots to be scrapped as well as “first game of the season” pics. So bring them along and come have a fun evening with the girls!

If you’re new here, the fee for cropping is only $5 per person (cash or check) and 100% of it goes as a donation to the Tuscaloosa Public Library. There are snack and soda machines on the premises, and you’re always welcome to bring in your own food and drink (non-alcoholic of course). There is plenty of room for each and every one of us to have our own table to spread out our work on. The Tuscaloosa DOT is secure, with a man on duty at the front door the entire time that we are there. The parking area is well lit and very close to the entrance. The folks at the TDOT always go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The building is always a nice comfy temperature, and is also nicely lit. If you have any questions just post them here, and I’ll get back to you.

So grab a girlfriend and come join us, I will be there at 5 pm and we will go till midnight! It’s gonna be a blast!!
